When your printer has disconnected it may cause the doument you were working on to "stop responding" and give you the blue wheel when you go to the print tab, this is normal and is nothing to panic about, you just have to wait for it to finish looking for the printer before you reconnect it.
1. On your desktop there is a "Connect printer Icon"
Double click this to run it, this will make a black command prompt window flash up on your screen and it will disappear as fast as it appeared, once its gone go and check your printer again, you may need to save and close the document, you were trying to print, then reopen to see the effects
2. The only other thing you can do is go to your taskbar at the bottom of your screen and click the small up arrow
Next, right click the small green printer icon and select refresh printers
You should have a small message pop up telling you its refreshing
Same as the last step, you may need to save and close the document you were trying to print, then reopen to see the effects
